The Saya is nice but, they might have a little bit of play inside with the blade. Also, please choose the ''high-end'' fittings for not much more money that the standard one. I recommend the Hayuza / Jiyuza finger stone hand polish with the folded T10 steel (no fancy lamination) and of course, differential hardening (Hamon). The polishing on their blades is very nice. They also make some sort of Tamahagane blade at about 450-500$ + but, be prepared to wait a lot. If you want to spend 300 - 400$ (US) on a nice blade, I really recommend them, seriously. The Habaki is ok quality and fit, but JKOO did better on my Wakizashi again. There is no play in the Tsuka / Tsuba assembly but, I have chosen the ''standard'' quality fitting and they don't look good as much as my Wakizashi. Again, the blade came sharp but require a little stroping. You could see the different steels on the Mune with the etching they used. The Katana is made from real Kobuze construction, folded T10 / 1095 steel outer shell with 1045 steel at the core, 29po length with ''cosmetic polish''(mirror polish + etching). The Habaki is made from brass and copper and has a good fit on the blade too and has nice details. The leather Ito is really tight and there is no play at all between the Tsuba and Tsuka. The blade came really sharp with a little bit of Niku, but it needed a slight stroping on a leather belt. The fittings are the ''high-end'' one on their site, made from iron. The Wakizashi on top is folded T10 / 1095 steel with Hayuza / Jiyuza hand polish, 22po length with no Bo-Hi. I have communicated with them in August 2020 and they arrived (to Canada) in January this year (together). Here are some pictures and review of my custom Katana and Wakizashi from them. Just to help people a little bit concerning JKOO's work.
