MacKenzie spent numerous years as a class assistant and as a member of the Young Company of North London Dance Centre which expanded her love of dance. MacKenzie has been training at North London Dance Centre since the age of four and continues actively training with the UWO Dance Force here in London. Her aim is to encourage students to feel comfortably engaged allowing them to be able to learn freely, grow as dancers and gain confidence in the dance world. Rosemarie strives to create a friendly, inviting and fun classroom environment where she can share her knowledge and love of dance. She continues to educate herself in both teaching and dance training methods to ensure the information and practices she works with are current, safe and beneficial to her students. She is a graduate of the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies program (R.A.D.) and served in the role of mentor for students entering their last year of this program, which allowed her the opportunity to pass on her experience to the next generation of dance instructors.Ĭomplimenting her dance education training, Rosemarie is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and Fusion Pilates fully qualifying her to teach mat and reformer pilates classes at all levels including prenatal and postnatal students. She is able to effectively teach students at all levels of development and is fully qualified to prepare and enter candidates for presentation and examination sessions. Rosemarie is a Registered Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) ballet instructor and a certified teaching member of tap and jazz with the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (A.D.A.P.T.) and the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (C.D.T.A.). It is our goal to offer the highest calibre of dance instruction in a friendly, family-oriented environment that will give your child the best possible introduction and experience to the world of dance, with a focus on age appropriate technical training. Our December show, Winterlude, is held at the Wolf Performance Hall, and our June recital, Let’s Dance is held at the Paul Davenport Theatre at UWO. We have three fully registered RAD teachers currently on our teaching staff, three full licentiate teaching members of the CDTA, and four teachers certified with Acrobatic Arts.ĭancers in our program have the opportunity to perform twice annually at a professional venue. Our school teaches classes in accordance with the high standards of The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) for ballet, the Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association (CDTA) for tap and jazz, and Acrobatic Arts for acro. There is plenty of free parking at our facility, and new students are always welcome. We offer classes in a range of styles, including classical ballet, tap, jazz, acro, hip hop, commercial contemporary, musical theatre, pointe, and progressing ballet technique (PBT).
